How KnowledgePilot manages personal information.
Effective: September 9, 2026
KnowledgePilot is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains the personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and disclose it, and the choices available to you.
We aim to handle personal information openly and responsibly, following applicable privacy laws and the principles reflected in the Australian Privacy Principles.
Personal information is information that identifies you or can reasonably be linked to you.
KnowledgePilot may collect:
We collect this information directly from you when you create an account, use the service, make a purchase, or contact Support. We also receive limited information automatically when you use the website.
KnowledgePilot does not collect or store your credit-card or billing details. Stripe handles those details and tells us only what we need to confirm a payment or subscription.
Please do not submit sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for the result you request and you have the right to provide it.
We use personal information to:
To keep promotional signup credits fair, we check whether credits have recently been claimed from the same network and retain one opaque, case-normalized email claim for the promotion. The raw network address and email are not placed in those records. The protected network identifier is kept only for a limited period; the email claim remains so a deleted account cannot receive the one-time promotion again.
We disclose information only where needed to provide or protect the service, where you ask us to, or where required or authorised by law.
Our providers support authentication, hosting, storage, payments, email, analytics, AI processing, transcription, and source processing. Content you submit may be sent to an AI, transcription, or source provider to create the result you request.
Some providers process information outside Australia, including in the United States and other countries where they operate. Their handling of information is also governed by their own privacy and service terms.
We do not sell personal information or use it to build advertising profiles.
KnowledgePilot uses necessary cookies and browser storage for account sessions, security, and preferences.
We use anonymous product events to understand which pages, features, and output types are useful. These events exclude your name, email, account ID, content, private links, and payment details.
Ahrefs Web Analytics runs on the public website. Google Tag Manager is limited to the landing page and administrator-published Public Library. When an eligible verified account is actually granted its promotional signup credits, a separate Google Ads tag records one signup conversion without sending your name, email, account ID, credit balance, or workspace content. The tag is not otherwise loaded inside your account or private workspace. You can turn Google and Ahrefs measurement off for this browser below.
Optional Google and Ahrefs measurement is currently on for this browser.
Your workspace is private. Users cannot publish content to the Public Library. If you create an unlisted article link, anyone with that link can view it until you revoke it or delete your account.
We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your non-public assets are kept until you delete the asset, delete your account, or the applicable automatic retention period ends. You can delete an asset or your account sooner at any time. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it where reasonably practicable. We may retain limited payment, support, security, backup, dispute, or legal records where reasonably necessary or required by law.
You can request a copy of your account information through Support, ask us to correct inaccurate information, or raise a privacy concern. We may need to verify that the request relates to your account before releasing or changing information.
You can permanently delete your account from Profile. This removes your user-owned workspace, revokes unlisted links, cancels future subscription billing, and deletes your login, subject to the limited retention described above.
KnowledgePilot is intended for people aged 18 or older.
We may update this policy from time to time. If an important change affects registered users, we will update the effective date and provide additional notice or ask you to acknowledge the new version.
If you have a privacy question or complaint, contact KnowledgePilot Support or email [email protected]. We will review your message and respond through Support.
