About KnowledgePilot

Research you can return to the source to check.

Long videos and documents hold useful ideas, but finding a claim again can take as long as reading the summary. KnowledgePilot brings your sources, generated outputs and supporting evidence into one workspace.

From a source to an answer you can inspect

Paste a YouTube link or upload a readable document. Ask a focused question or choose a structured output, then follow video timestamps or document passage references back to the supporting material. Keep related sources together in a Knowledge Hub to ask further questions across them.

Use KnowledgePilot when you need to review a lecture, understand a report, compare sources or build a research brief. The goal is to make the original evidence easier to find and use.

What you can use KnowledgePilot for

  • Study a lecture. Turn a recording into notes and review questions, then revisit the supporting timestamps.
  • Review a report. Ask focused questions and check the cited document passages.
  • Compare sources. Bring related videos and documents into a Knowledge Hub to examine agreements and differences.
  • Prepare a research brief. Extract key claims, qualifications and supporting references to review alongside the originals.

See an answer and check its evidence

Our published analysis of the NIST AI Risk Management Framework shows how a focused question connects to a specific document passage.

Question: What characteristics make an AI system trustworthy under the Framework?

Answer: NIST identifies seven characteristics, including validity and reliability, safety, security and resilience, transparency and accountability, explainability, privacy, and fairness with harmful bias managed.

Check the supporting passage: page 17, paragraph 94. Open the analysis and select the P17¶94 citation to inspect the source. The following passages explain the tradeoffs between these characteristics.

The source remains the reference

AI can omit context or produce an incorrect answer. Check important claims against the original material. A timestamp or passage link helps you find evidence; it does not guarantee that a conclusion is correct.

YouTube analysis relies on available transcript text and metadata. Details shown only in a video may be missing. Document results depend on readable extracted text; scans, complex tables and layouts can need additional checking.

Explore before you upload

The Public Library offers published analyses to explore. Our research guides explain practical ways to summarize, question and check sources. Your personal workspace and the Public Library serve different purposes: adding a source to your account does not make it a published Library article.
