Summarize Long PDFs
Turn long reports, papers and technical documents into clear key takeaways without reading every page.
Summarize a PDFFree browser tool
Write your own video notes with clickable timestamps, save them on this device and export Markdown or CSV. No AI or account required.
Quick answer
Timestamped notes connect your interpretation to the passage it came from. Use a short note for one question, claim or example, then open its link to check the surrounding context. When you choose to load the video, the YouTube embedded player supplies its current playback time. You can also type a time manually if the video cannot be embedded. The tool never fetches a transcript or generates a note for you.
At 12:34, type “Check the assumption behind the margin forecast” and add a note. The exported Markdown links that sentence to the video at 754 seconds. Editing the note changes your own text, not the video.
Notes are stored in this browser on this device, without an account or cloud synchronization. Browser cleanup, private browsing and storage restrictions can remove them, so export regularly. The embedded video connects to YouTube only after you load it, and YouTube’s own playback and privacy rules apply. A private, removed or embedding-restricted video may not play. Notes from different video IDs are kept separate.
Good to know
It is free without an account. It uses fixed parsing rules, formatting or arithmetic in your browser, without AI or paid API calls. KnowledgePilot’s AI summarizers are separate products.
Inputs and document files are processed locally. Loading the embedded player connects to YouTube; your notes stay in this browser. Optional saved drafts stay in your browser, so download a copy before clearing its data.
Review the worked example and limits above. The output follows the information you enter; it does not verify the source or supply missing facts. Check important details against the original material.
